The Moongrove is a beautiful olive grove of 175 olive trees on 12,000 square metres of land overlooking the Gulf of Amvrakikos. Nestling in hills that look across the Gulf, past Salaora and Koronisia to the Akarnanika Mountains in the south, it is a place of calm and tranquillity.
TheMoonGrove is home to many wild flowers and creatures. The list continues to grow but to date I have seen Hermann’s Tortoises, Balkan Green Lizards, snakes, preying mantis and insects too numerous to mention.
If you are interested in wild life do look on this site from time to time as I intend to keep a photographic record of my findings. I will also be noting events of interest in the area of the Gulf and Preveza, the town that sits on the entrance of the Gulf from the Ionian Sea.
